I've even seen Ferraris with a nose bra here in SoCal. Like I said, it's all to the owners perference. If you see a car in the freeway with it's nose covered with blue painters tape...go ahead and point and laugh. I highly doubt the owner gives two $hits. If I personally see a car covered with blue painters tape, I figure the owner is anal about his paint and want to protect it as much as he can. No big deal. I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
